The First Pilgrim Visit of Lolo Uweng at Parañaque

Parañaque City, Philippines – The Resurrection of our Lord Parish in BF Homes, Parañaque City recently hosted its first-ever historical Pilgrim Visit of Lolo Uweng from February 11 to 16, 2023. The event was headed by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Lambert Legaspino, and the Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Steve Villanueva, and was attended by a large number of parishioners, lay  and devotees from Parañaque City.

The six-day event featured a series of religious activities, including daily masses, novenas, and public veneration to Lolo Uweng.

The public veneration of Lolo Uweng was a highlight of the event, with devotees coming to the city to offer their prayers and petitions to Lolo Uweng. The event culminated in a special Harana to Lolo Uweng on the last night, where devotees sang liturgical lenten song and dedicated a prayer to Lolo Uweng.

Rev. Fr. Legaspino expressed his gratitude to all those who participated in the event and shared his hopes that Lolo Uweng’s intercession will continue to bring blessings to the parish and the community.

In a show of gratitude and appreciation for the Pilgrim Visit of Lolo Uweng, the Resurrection of our Lord Parish also made a generous donation to the Shrine of Lolo Uweng, a testament to the strong bonds of faith and camaraderie between the two communities. The donation will help support the upkeep of the shrine and the programs and services it provides to the devotees of Lolo Uweng.

The Pilgrim Visit of Lolo Uweng at the Resurrection of our Lord Parish was a significant milestone for the parish and the devotees who are celebrating their Golden Jubilee Year as a Parish. It served as a reminder of the power of faith and the importance of seeking the intercession of Lolo Uweng in times of need.
